This macro system is included in PC-Com Basic, as well as the Pro version.  Macros can record and playback your keystrokes and mouse clicks automatically for you. Recording a macro is like recording something on a video camera. When you start recording, PC-Com will record what you do on your computer until you stop the macro. It will record when you click the mouse, as well as keys that you press on your keyboard.

After you record a macro, you will give it a name and it will be saved as a keyword in PC-Com. Then you can type this keyword or macro name into PC-Com at any time, and it will play back your mouse clicks and keyboard strokes automatically.  Letters and numbers will appear magically on your screen.  The mouse pointer will travel around and simulate mouse clicks.  It's like a robot doing the work for you.

One example of a macro that everyone can use is logging into a website. Instead of typing your username and password every time, you can record a macro of yourself logging into the website. Then, whenever you want to log in, just press the hotkey, type the macro name as a keyword in PC-Com, and press Enter. PC-Com will automatically log you in.

There are dozens of other ways to automate your repetitive computer tasks.  The macro system in PC-Com is one of the most complex available.  Typing keywords and commands into PC-Com is already a huge time saver.   Recording macros will save you even more time, and it can improve productivity for businesses.
