Requirements Any version of Windows. PC-Com is not compatible with Linux or Macs. Memory Usage PC-Com is a program that will be loaded on your computer all the time unless you close it. It might seem like a burden to always have a program loaded and to have an extra icon in your system tray, but PC-Com does not execute any code or run any timers when you are not using it. It sits in the system tray while you do your normal work and has no effect on system performance. You can think of PC-Com as an ultra-lightweight program. On a system with 256 MB RAM, PC-Com takes up less than 2% of memory. On a 512 MB RAM system, PC-Com takes up less than 1% of memory. No spyware, adware, or bundled software
On June 28th, 2005, PC-Com earned the 100% clean award from Softpedia.com Even though PC-Com Basic is a free program, there is no spyware, adware, or third-party software included to earn revenue.
